The videoshots for "Mittagsstelle” represent an artificially created work
situation in a junkyard. At lunch time greasy proof paper is shown. The camera takes a walk through the environment. The shots were manipulated by using a computer. The purposely chosen devices are operating with little performance causing low resolution and rhythmic movements of the takes. The video, set up in this manner is introduced in the installation as an endless-loop. These sequences are visible by a video projection onto the wall. On old table is set in front of the projection screen. A monitor is inserted in the table top, constantly showing a white screen. A video camera is installed above the monitor. If the visitor holds something over the screen, e.g. a hand, the silhouette of the hand is seen in the video projection on the wall. His contours are filled up by using a computer animation. This animation contains three three lined text sections appearing alternatively in horizontal slow motion.

Die Videoaufnahmen zu "Mittagsstelle" zeigen eine inszenierte Arbeitssituation auf einem Schrottplatz. In der Mittagspause wird Butterbrotpapier gezeigt und die Kamera führt auf einem Spaziergang durch die Umgebung. Die Aufnahmen wurden in Computer bearbeitet, wobei die für diesen Zweck zu niedrige Rechenleistung der verwendeten Geräte, die Bilder in grobe Bildpunkte auflöst und die Bewegungen rhythmisiert. Das auf diese Weise entstandene Video wird in der Installation von einem Endlosband abgespielt. Sichtbar werden die Sequenzen in Form einer Videoprojektion an der Wand. Vor der Projektionsfläche steht ein alter Tisch, in dessen Tischplatte ein Monitor eingelassen ist, der permanent ein vollkommen weisses Bild zeigt. Über dem Monitor hängt eine Videokamera. Hält der Betrachter etwas z.B. seine Hände über den Bildschirm, so erscheint die Silhouette seiner Hände im Videobild an der Wand. Gefüllt werden seine Umrisse von einer Komputeranimation. Diese Animation besteht aus drei Textabschnitten zu jeweils drei Zeilen, die abwechselnd in einer langsamen, waagerechten Bewegung erscheinen.
