A marble path is set on a pedestal and behind it a TV is placed. If a marble is rolled along the path a miniature camera records live. These sequences are shown on the TV screen. The electric contacts, which are connected to the switch unit inserted into the floor, switch to the corresponding camera. The typical model of a marble path, equipped with electrical power and a video socket: The marble, as ever, is still put in by hand. Immediately the video level mixes with reality. In the right and left axles and, respectively, back- and forward seems to be a crossing of the marble and its image.
Auf einem Sockel befinden sich eine Murmelbahn, dahinter
ein Fernsehegerät. Läßt man eine Murmel durch die Bahn rollen,
wird sie von Miniaturkameras live aufgenommen, deren Bilder auf dem Fernsehschirm
zu sehen sind. Elektrokontakte schalten dabei in Verbindung mit der sich in
der Bodenplatte befindenten Schalteinheit, jeweils auf die entsprechende Kamera.
Das klassische Modell einer Murmelbahn versehen mit Stromanschluß und
Videobuchse: Die Murmel wird nach wie vor von Hand eingelegt. Sofort mischt
sich die Videoebene mit der Realität. In den Achsen rechts, link beziehungsweise
vor und zurück scheint sich die Glaskugel in der Dopplung zu kreuzen.
